hi guys, i made this psx to parallel cable a couple years ago and it has always been running smoothly for me on xp but after switching to windows 7 RC 64-bit i realised that there are no available drivers for download on this OS to my disappointment =( not sure if i overlooked anything so i was wondering if there might be any way i can maybe

1. use the psxpad drivers i had on xp in windows 7 (some way of forcing the drivers to be located, tried to manually search for the drivers but it still denies me the use of it... figures!)

2. find some new or alternative drivers that may work with this psx to parallel setup that i have.

3. use a usb to parallel converter in conjuction with it while maintaining full funcionability since i'm not sure if conversion to usb would make it work very well (i'd love to get feedback on this)

4. buy a new usb to psx converter

while bearing in mind that my psx to parallel cable has always worked fine for me thru these years and it would be a real waste to just get rid of it especially since i embedded it into my cpu case, would be like an eyesore for me, so option 4 really would be like a last ditch thing for me, thanks for listening :nerd:

thanks for the quick reply there, what i'm actually looking for is a windows 7 solution for this :

http://www.emulatronia.com/reportajes/directpad/psxeng/print.htm

if there is ofcourse any solutions out there already, i would have assumed someone somewhere would have made a vista fix for this which i could use on windows 7 for the time being in the form of either driver updates or some sort of add-on i mite be able to make or purchase, i really dont believe in just throwing away a perfectly working controller port like this :( again thanks for all the help, its much appreciated
