Hi All,

I have been attempting to set up a 3COM 3C16271 Linkbuilder FMS TP 12-port RJ45 Hub, however, I don't have any manuals and have been unsuccessful at finding any on the web.

Could someone direct me to either a downloadable manual or online instructions on setting up the hub.

Thanks in advance.

Les

Hi decibel,

Thanks for the reply, unfortunatly like all my results so far it does not match the unit I have.

Thanks for the effort.

In what way doesn't it match?

If it's an unmanaged hub then just plug stuff in and it should work...

Unless it's not designed to be used by itself or requires configuration of some sort

Hi Agent 24,

The back panel is differant, the unit I have has what appears to be an extra serial connection (could be an AUI port) with the power plug nort/south rather than east/west. It also does not have a socket for redundent power system. The plugs for what I presume are expansion ports are top/bottom not side by side, they are differant types of plugs where the picture in the document shows then as being both serial type plugs (one on the unit I hase two rows of very small pins).

The front panel is also differant in the factt that it does not have a boldge on the left hand side. The Plugs are in the centre with the staus lights off to the right.

I will have a go at just plugging it in.

Thanks
