Hi guys. Just been watching a news item, on Prime, that was talking about computer repair technicians accessing private data on computers. My question is, with XP Home and SP3, is it possible to password protect files on my hard drive? :thanks, Ian

If they can log into your account then I don't think so. I have a folder that's locked to other users but fully accessible from my account

You'll need Pro or something like truecrypt. Just dont forget the passwords ! coz you'll never get in it again

Im with Speedy. TrueCrypt is about the only app that I would trust 100%. Anything else like what ships with windows is reversable.

Definetly.

TrueCrypt with hidden volumet is 100% uncrackable.

Do have someone who knows there stuff set it up for you though, you could lock yourself out!
