Hi all.

Anyone no of a really good program to get files back after thay have been deleted or after a hdd's been formatted?

I have 2 harddrives here that I have just removed out of a pc. The pc got stolen off a person i no but thay got it back but the person that stole it formatted the drives so all the files are gone that he had on the drives.

Thanks.

This (http://www.easeus.com/) may recover whatever. But its not free. I could probably get whatever off them, but you would have to send them to Auckland

Thanks Speedy.

Forgot to say that the hdd's are SCSI drives. Its his server. 1 drive was the OS drive and other was storage but both had files on them.

Ah in that case I cant, I dont have a SCSI connection / interface. But if I did, it'd probably work

Hmmm looks like its new for Easeus -- May give it a go tomorrow, got a customers drive thats badly damaged both software and hardware wise to the point of taking over 30 minutes to load in a workshop PC. ( no backups ) -- Surprise Surprise

GetData Back (http://www.runtime.org/) does find the drive and did recover when no other software will (even Linux turns its nose up at it).

Good test for this Easeus :D

Hmmmmmm -- OK tried the Easeus data recovery ( pro) - it did find the drive quick - its a 40GB Drive -- keeping in mind the drive is stuffed software wise as well MANY dead Sectors, wont clone on the several cloning programs I have - Linux live CD wont even allow it to boot -- Slaved to windows XP - its doing the first part of the scan (3 parts in total) -- According to the time left-- only just over 12 Hours to go. :D

Guess I'll leave it running over night, but it is finding files.
