I am running on separate disks, XP on C: and Vista on G:

I had a problem with LTLDR on XP and couldn't resolve it but decided that I wouldn't worry as I was going to Win7 eventually.

I decided to load down Win7 from the first Beta disk supplied by PCWORLD (I can't find a free copy of the WIN7 RC disk anywhere); I used a partition on the XP HHD. Lo and behold when I then tried to load XP, there it was just as good as new!

I can only assume that Win7 corrected the NTLDR problem I had.

If anyone has a similar experience I would like to see if my assumtion is confirmed.

There can be only one, Win7 would have replaced it with its own then given you the option to duel boot.

The 7 bootloader overwrote it.

If you remove 7 it won't wokr again.

I'm pleased to say that now having removed Win7, XP still continues to boot.

The earlier NTLDR dated Jan '08 was replaced by a Dec '08 version when I installed Win7.
