Ummmm, you should of bartered with the $400 offer IMO. and you might have got $500 cash...you could buy a like new lappy for around a grand with a warranty.

Only let down is the small HD.

I'd say around $500 is a good price for it.

I definitley wouldn't pay any more than $500 for it - $500 is OK though.

The fast dual core if the only thing that is holding it up at that price though, the VRAM, HD and RAM is nothing fancy.

A 7200 rpm in a lappy is fancy! Try getting one of them in an acer or hp...

Not very. I replaced my laptop with a 160gb 7200rpm Seagate. Wasn't very much more than the normal 5400rpm model.

60gb is too small. If the seller upgraded it to around 160gb/250gb I would believe he would get a much better price for it. Not everyone on TM is tech savvy, and most probably only look at the size instead of the speed also.

OP, for example, i bought a Toshiba L300 for my daughter in January, Dual core 1.8, 1GB RAM, DVD-RW, 80Gb HDD,Web-Cam and Vista Prem. No dedicated graphics, but at $900 with 3 yr warranty, your lappy is looking 2nd rate.....

TRUE that blam. my dad is a prime example, all he does is compare which laptop has the biggest numbers....
