I don't know why but theres something wrong on the pc, at the moment the hard drives are showing up in my computer but theres no hard drives showing up in disc managment in the admin tools. I cannot do a defrag or when i try using a program like partition magic it cant find the 2 drives.

I think this maybe a virus so just doing a virus scan at the moment, its been running for 2 hours but still hasent found anything.

When i installed xp i created a restore point and also created one after i was finished installing all the drivers, but when i go to system restore it dosen't show the two restore points.

Can you download and install Hijack this save a log file and post it here for analysis, what anti virus program are you running? Also download and run Trojan remover

They make a good firewall but their AV is not so good Avast is better for a free one or Nod 32 for a paid one also has the option to do an online scan of your computer here (http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/)

I've seen this problem twice, and I've reinstalled once and done a chkdsk /f the second time.

Try going to command prompt and typing chkdsk DRIVE LETTER OF PARTITION: /f

If you're sure all the malware is gone, then I suggest you disable then re-enable System Restore, to clear possibly infected checkpoints

Cheers

If you use this PC for online banking etc, I would change your passwords now. As that trojan is a password / data stealing trojan. I would also uninstall Utorrent. Thats probably how you got it in the first place.
