Whats the Windows one look like?? I know there's an adapter for windows, so you can use any Xbox device (headset / controller / whatever) in windows

Hm never tried the windows one. The normal controller works fine here in windows. But, you'll need the Xbox wireless adapter for it to work. The Windows one maybe wired (it doesnt say its wireless), why its cheaper

The windows one has a converter on the end I think, well the one I got here has. Usb to controller thing.

That would be the breakaway cord, that connection is just there incase you pull on the cable to hard

I purchased one (from dse) about 2 years ago. I think the only difference between that and a non "for windows" one is that the one for windows has a CD with drivers.

I highly recommend buying one though, I haven't found a game it doesn't work with yet! :)

I believe the wireless controller for windows also comes with an adapter (like this (http://pictures.xbox-scene.com/hsdemonz/360wirelessadapterforPC/xbox360-wireless-receiver.jpg)) hence the higher price.

If you've brought it for Playstation games, you might want to buy a ps1/ps2-usb converter off trademe. Cost me about $30 I think (overpriced, I know), but PS controllers now appear as standard joysticks in windows. Great for all the old games which I've been downloading lately (at a cost - I now only have about 8Gb of free space left!).

I think there are beta drivers for the PS3 controllers too.
