Power requirments

I have a Enermax 525W 2x12V 22 which add up to 34A wondering that would have enough power for a 4870, plannin on geting a quad core which uses 140W

Yeah, should be no problem. The system in my sig only uses up to 300W during peak times.

That PSU would easily power it.

That calculator that qaz recommended is if you get a proper PSU, not the generic crap BTW

sweet so im all gud only 380W on full peak with 4870 and quad core no chance of damaging it

I thought it was fun, so I tried on my computer as well... The result turned out as 181W?! I thought my graphic card's manual said "a minimum of 300W"!
