Default iPhone Vodafone pricing revealed...

...and it's not really cheap

iPhone Specific Plans iPhone250MB iPhone500MB iPhone1GB
Cost Per Month $80 $130 $250
Included Minutes 120 250 600
Included Text 600 600 600
Included Data 250 MB 500 MB 1 GB
Additional Cost per MB $0.10cent $0.10cent $0.03cent
Additional Cost per Minute $0.69 $0.55 $0.53
Additional Cost per TXT $0.20 $0.20 $0.20
8GB iPhone on plan price $549 $449 $199
16GB iPhone on plan price $699 $599 $349

so, basically, if you want a top notch plan and iphone, you'll pay $250 per month (locked for 2 years= $6000) plus $349 for the 16GB iphone. I gotta say, this pricing seems like plain evil to me.

That pricing is abominable.

Worse than the snowman.

Sucks that it doesn't have WiFi.

Otherwise buying just the handset + using it on home WiFi connection coupled with Fring would be stellar.

It's pathetic to say the very least. I'll probably have a chuckle at any knob who buys one now.

Prices look OK to me.
My last bill was $127.91 on the choose 250 plan plus TXT 100.
So for around the same price I can get the 250 minutes plus 600 txts plus 500MB of data.

Can't wait to see how VSX spins this one. Only $80??? A Bargain if I ever saw one!

See how he hasn't posted yet? He's already lining up on Queen Street.

$6,000 over two years represent almost 10% of the average NZ wage after tax. Seems a lot to pay for a phone.

but hey, might just be me, I'm sure there are people with a lot of money out there who laugh int he face of a minimum phonebill of $250 per month.
