    Default Nod32

    Hi all,

Is it possible to buy just Nod32's firewall by itself (not the AV part as well?)

    TIA

Dont think so, or else they'll have to change it from Smart security to firewall

Looks like its either the AV or Smart Security which includes both

Speedys 100% correct - you cant get the firewall on its own.

    What you can get is
    • Antivirus
    • Smart Security = AV & firewall
    • ESET MAIL SECURITY FOR EXCHANGE, LINUX, DOMINO or KERIO
    • ESET GATEWAY SECURITY FOR LINUX/BSD & KERIO WINROUTE FIREWALL

Home user licenses go to 4 User, 5+ change to Business class.

I dont think their firewall is all that good from memory. Better to get Comodo or Online Armor - both free.

I think Eset is the only firewall that runs on Vista 64 Bit. I can't use Comodo because it's incompatible with my NIC (and thus blocks all internet access).

Hmm I should try the latest version of Comodo FW without the AV.

Since this mobo has the Atheros NIC (The AR8121/AR8113/AR8114).

And see if the same thing happens

Are we talking about Ethernet NIC or Wireless NIC?

With this Atheros prob, or both?

It looks like 2.xx of Comodo did this. It may have been fixed in 3.xx surely

It's easy to use. Great for people who need protection but don't understand all the questions comodo throws at them. I've been using it for ages and it's really good.
