Problem fixed. I emailed HP for help which I should have done in the first place, sorry.
I have windows XP.
Two occasional users of my computer who have "limited access" are getting pop up messages. The first one seems to be something to do with the windows installer trying to open and then the second one that comes up is "error 1706 no valid source could be found for product HP Smart Web Printing. Windows installer cannot continue. Could this be related to a new HP Photosmart C6280 All-in-One I recently connected.thanks

Thanks for taking the time to reply but gee Mr Wrat, why sarcastic? We who are still learning can get intimidated by the workings of a computer and this forum is an amazing place to get help and learn from other's postings. There'll be more seemingly silly questions to come from me I'm sure.

Thanks for encouraging words wainuitech.
There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.
That was a lame attempt at humour.
Glad you got it sorted.![]()

Hi bellbird,
I'm having the exact same problem (limited user, pop-up messages, new HP C6280). Would it be possible to share your solution here?
Thanks.
