Whats the exact message / error??
What version of WMP is it?
i recently had to reconfigure my computer with windows XP professional after the original packed a sad when someone else was using it.
i managed to get everything back up again however the media player seems to have lost some sort of plugin that deals with licence migration ?
as a musician i had ripped copies of my songs into the media library earlier and now find i cant play them or burn them. this is proving to be frustrating
i am using media player
does anyone have any ideas that may helphttp://pressf1.pcworld.co.nz/images/icons/icon9.gif

If it is not broke, don't make it broker by trying to make it better. (This applies specifically to PJ)

the files are wma and are my own compositions
i never had any problems before i had to reconfigure the windows xp setup
also i am reading up on wmp faq page about drm
there seems to be a lot of stuff to work through
was hoping someone out there might have a quick fix suggestion
why not create a copy of them and then try converting the copied ones

Get this
Close firefox or whatever the default browser is
See what happens when that error comes up again. If it still says it doesnt have the plugin change IE to the default browser.
LOL...i had this issue years ago, a friend wasnt impressed after I had to rebuilt his PC. I had copied the wma\mp3 files to another hard drive and when we went to use them after the rebuild we got the error message about no licence.
I didnt find a solution to the issue at the time and since then I have always use the backup licences option on a regular basis....
Good luck
