Welcome to PressF1.
Did you (attempt to) uninstall it completely from add/remove programs and then try reinstalling from the DVD?
Any other error messages that came up?
I have been having problems with Office 2007 and wanted to try to repair it. When I tried to open the installation in -> control panel -> add/remove programs I got a message saying the installation is corrupt and to re-install from dvd/cd. This I did and retried to un-install but no joy - still get the same message about corrupt installation and re-install from dvd/cd![]()
I would be very grateful if some one could tell me how to get round this problem!
Thanks

Microsoft: "You've got questions. We've got dancing paperclips."
Yes, I tried and failed to uninstall from the add/remove programmes section. I then ran setup from the installation disk and then tried to uninstall a second time using the add/remove programs function.
I did not get any messages other than "This product installation has been corrupted, run setup again from cd, dvd or other original installation source"
There is a solution on he MS KB
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218/en-us
but it looks to be horrendously complicated and comes with standard dire warnings about editing the registry.
Are there any less complex solutions?
Thats probably the only way to remove it completely.
If you were in Mt Eden, I could do it for you.
Are u in Mt Eden?
What version of Office is it? Standard, Pro?

Gracias Senor Speedy
I am in AKL and can do it myself. I was just trying to exhaust all oter possibilities before I sat down for a deep and meaningful with my laptop.
Oh, it is the Professional Version
Cheers
doesn't mean UNinstall...........run setup again from cd
with past versions of office you just stuff in the cd and it'll give you three basic choices install/remove/repair........choose repair...

To uninstall Office 2007 get the Product ID from the setup.xml of the source MS Office 2007 installations files. Setup.xml can be found in the ProPlus.WW directory. Then run this command:
msiexec /x <Product Code> /q
Example: msiexec /x {00000000-0000-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE} /q REBOOT=REALLYSUPPRESS
