    Default Partition an SD card?

    Hey guys.
I would like to know if you are able to partition a Micro SD card.
    And if you can how?

Okay i would like to have a 2gb SD card in my Cellphone but it only recognizes 1gb, and i read somewhere a while ago where you could get the phone to recognize 2 drives of 1gb.

    Thanks

If you have XP, you could try going to control panel / admin tools / computer management / disk management. See if it appears here. Once its plugged into whatever.

Right mouse on it, if it appears. Select format I think it is, it may, or may not give you the option to partition it.

You can partition any type of storage device. As for your phone detecting both partitions is another story. It might only show one.

As above you can do it through Disk Management.

No dont think so..Thats not the same as partitioning.

Select format and see what it does.. I havent got a memory card to test it.

I tried different formats but it doesn't show anything about partition.
Could someone who knows how to partition please offer a step by step bias.
    Thanks

Change that allocation file size to 1024, see what happens. That might format 1/2 of it to 1 GB. Or you may need something like Partition Magic.
