XP SP2.
None of these commands are available from the Start menu. However, msconfig can be opened from the address window.
I use Symantec AV, SpyBot S&D, AdAware, ZoneAlarm & Spyware Doctor. All with current definitions (checked for daily) so have a reasonably belief that my machine has not been compromised/invaded.
Have not recently installed or changed any programs, and have no idea how long this problem may have existed.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.
Comments by Greg brought to you courtesy of AlcoLine® IV drip - for when the tedious act of drinking takes too much time away from gaming.
Thanks.
That was already the case - boxes checked. The items do appear on the menu - they don't run though. I should add that the F1/Help button does not work either.
Group Policy? I know, use Help. No, can't do that either.

I'm not too sure but aren't these symptoms usually related to a particular virus?
Does anyone else know?

Greg: Group policy editing is only available in WinXP Pro. Not that we know whether Home or Pro is being used.
