How Do I Delete HKEY entries?

I have a few old HKEY items listed from one of my last scans. How do i delete them manualy? they are:

P2P
Grokster
HKEY_classes_root\magnet
HKEY_classes_root\magnet\shell\open\command
HKEY_current_user\software\softwrap

Kazaa
HKEY_current_user\software\kazaa
HKEY_local_machine\software\kazaa
HKEY_local_machine\software\kazaa\connection info
HKEY_local_machine\software\kazaa\local content
HKEY_local_machine\software\magnet
HKEY_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\curr ent version\app management\arpcache\p2p networking

Pretty easy, really. As a precaution, make sure you have a recent system restore point!

Click start/run and type in regedit and hit enter (runs program called regedit).

Then just navigate your way to each entry you want to delete. Highlight it by clicking on it and press the Del key.

Before you do any deletion FOR THE LOVE OF TAFF... BACKUP THE REGISTRY. Once regedit is started, Click File / Export... Save somewhere safe...

This will backup the registry

Thanks guys. Got them deleted. Couldn't find some so they must not be there. And yes i did an export before i stared thx. This was my first time in the reg system so i needed a little extra help. Sry about the easy noob question. I tried a search at first and got a million hits. None what i needed.

Nonsense. Look at his entries - Kazaa?!
So long as the program is no longer being used, you select only those entries and not any entry at random its perfectly safe.
What do you think all those Reg Cleaner programs do?

The registry can end up being a bloated cluttered thing in no time. Most times Add/Remove doesn't take out all the entries.
And a lot of programs don't even need the entries to run anyway.
