Default IBM Thinkpad 390 Bios Password recovery/hack

I recently purchased a used IBM Thinkpad 390 laptop that has its bios protected by a password. Any suggestions how to recover it?

A Google search comes up with plenty of help.

    Can you supply:
    # 4 character Machine Type
    # 3 character Model (390?)

    Have you tried:
Press both mouse buttons repeatedly during the boot

A lot of laptops don't have any easy way to zap BIOS passwords. That's because the second-biggest computer business is in stolen laptops.

do a search on google should get a result on IBM.
with many (if not all) models it needs a service to be done. a hack is what civilian pple call it, it means a some chip or such that needs to be soldered (if I recall).

Go to ebay.com and do a narrow search like "thinkpad password"
This should give you some idea of the required.

The hard thing is NZ prob wont have these things.. so u may need to look abroad.

    Edit
    Google results

    Ebay results
