Windows XP serial number

Hi all, i cant find my xp serial number. Does anyone know what it comes on when you buy it. It's not on the case that the cd is in or the booklet it came with. Any ideas?.

and here is micosoft crying about piracy.....when they give you a sticker with your CD KEY to put on your case so any old joe schmo who walks bye and write it down.

If you ever lose the sticker, here's a little program that will extract the serial from the registry

It is also a good idea to write with a suitable marker pen the product key number on the actual Windows install CD as well.
