    Default Win Media Player

    latest version i think? 10?
    Work comp, XP.

a couple of questions, in the main page Of wmp where all the folders, are eg - albums, artists etc...can i get rid of those and just have my playlists? cant seem to do it myself, but wondering if theres another method, the older versions i could,

i have no need for a radio station thingy or other excess crap folders to be on this page just to confuse me when i save a song.

when i have saved to C: from my music cd's, ( i did for xmas songs) for continuous music in the office, at least one song saved or copied sounds crap... and i know its not the speakers, is it possible its too busy? or just saved it and stuffed it up at the time?

    or am i missing something?

Im not trying to be difficult it just comes naturally.

Yes WMP 10 is the latest on XP.

To get rid of the things you mentioned:

Go to Library Options,Choose Columns and tick/untick the boxes of the things you want/dont want, at the bottom of the columns page, tick automatically size all columns then click on ok.

    As for sounding crap:

What bit rate was used from souce and played back?
    Only guessing...

    Did you change it?
    Only guessing...

Maybe it was played too loud for the speakers to handle properly?
    Only guessing

Do the sound card/onboard sound need updating?
    Only guessing...

Other then those speculations I am sorry I dont know.

But at least the first lot of stuff I do know, because thats what I did to get rid of the excess stuff.
