Task Manager

Cntl-Alt-Del opens Windows security dialogue box, but when I open task manager it opens and closes very quickly. I want to be able to shut down some processes that keep loading. Also, how can I stop them from loading?

Sounds like you have a virus on your PC!
Update you antivirus software and run a full system scan.

It happened after sp2 install which I have now removed because it stopped IExplorer finding a server? Anyway that is now fixed but not task man

Have a look at the first page to check if you have a virus .

Renamed "TaskMGR.exe" to Jim.exe, and it didn't close. Currently downloading virus updates
