    I guess you intend to sell them. So just send it to the Auctioneers....they will ask for your reserve, give you their valuation and auction them.

    Cant really expect anyone to trawl through 2000 stamps to value them.
    I would guess they'll just look quickly through some & give an estimate , unless truly valuable stamps were somehow separate from the bulk.

    Ive still got my stamp collection from 40 years ago .
    I'd rather give them away they have them eventually end up in the dump
    Any ideas on what to do with them ? Just the usual kids collection.

    1101 I will see your 40 years and up you 30. First day covers would probably fetch quite a lot on money.

    Leaving mine to one of the kids to pass on down to their kids.

    A valuer will charge.
    An auctioneer will not - because they get a commission on the sale.

    And yes, they will trawl through them....

    being young & not knowing any better, I cut the stamps off all my first day covers

    Don't worry, I used to glue them into the stamp album, how stupid was that.
