Default Is the Cold weather a Good Reason to Keep Windows Closed

The cold front has passed through and headed north. We in Invercargill were not affected as much as those living further north. I woke up on Wednesday morning to see my lawns were all white because hail stones had settled on them. Temperatures have remained below ten degrees. It is mid winter so cold weather is to be expected.

I have been using my heat pump to keep warm. My house walls are currently uninsulated but within the next few weeks I hope to have Insulmax foam injected into the walls.

This morning I had a call from an Indian gentleman who asked me if I was able to open Windows. I quickly told him that it was too dam cold here to open windows. I then hung up on him. The gentleman never rung back.

I quite agree with you, Bobh. It's much too damn cold to open Windows. We have all our windows closed and the heatpump going. Would not think to open windows.

Of course, if someone rang me and asked me if I was able to open Windows, I too, would hang up on him.

I can't understand why they still try with those scams. I would have thought that everybody with a computer would have heard of those ones.

I've been getting 4-5 calls a week for the last month. Definitely not the best phone sex I have had, but I'm determined

Kept asking the gentleman who rang me if he cleaned windows, told him he;d need a long ladder, told me to F off. Good result.
