Yes, the square head driver is one of the worlds best inventions.

    It saves so much time.

Its even better than my Adkaf
So what colour is your Adkaf?

I find square head screws no better or no worse than pozi drive in the ned it all comes down to having the correct driver for the screw which in the case of pozi's most people don't. I have put in many thousands of screws in my time as a carpenter joiner.

Exactly as Gary says. If you use the incorrect size bit/driver the chances of stuffing the screw head up and raising your blood pressure are vastly increased. A decent set of bits and/or drivers are cheap enough that everyone should have, at the very least, all the common sizes on hand.

Assuming you have the correct drivers though, it's a lot harder to stuff up a square head than a phillips or pozi.

Pozi rarely slips with a good fitting bit and a square head can still jump out sometimes. What I find even better is a hex head like on a bolt and a socket driver, only good for raised head screws obviously but the best option where possible in my opinion. For window fittings though it's not always relevant for me, because a lot of the time I pop rivet them. But yeah, square head is very unlikely to completely chew out the head like it's possible to do with a cordless driver and some screw heads. Instead if you over do it you snap the head clean off...

I have to agree with Digby that square-headed screws are a Truly Great Invention

The tolerances on the screws and drivers (Robertson) are quite fine and allow a screw to hang on the end of the driver before approaching the work. No magnets needed
