Burling is gonna have to develop some 'mongrel' for the starts or else Spithall will own him.

He's had it easy so far.

Not sure about that. If our boat is better and more reliable and the crew are tops of their own game, we should take out their advantages. Big if though.

Hope you're right. However I doubt we're better, faster or more reliable. As it is so even, Spithall owning us at the starts could be all that matters.

I'll be stoked if I'm wrong.

haven't watched the previous races, NOT paying skys outrageous prices.

But looks like Sky must be getting soft to public demand

in the statement released today, Sky TV said: "As excitement builds across the country, we are pleased to let New Zealanders know this event will be available to watch not only live on Sky Sport from 5am but also on Prime free-to-air from 6.30am each match day."

Burling looks like a over-privileged, spoiled, mummy's-boy/man to me so I don't think there's much mongrel in him.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

But he's a fleet racer, until now he has had no match-racing experience.
It's like comparing a rally driver to a F1 driver. Both good drivers but at very different arts of the trade.

And the AC is all about match-racing, and Spithall has all the experience.

If NZ wins, where in NZ will they hold the next races ?
Is Ak CBD now too expensive for the various Teams to setup in ?

If Bermuda was 'affordable' it would be surprising if Auckland wasn't.

And the really good news is that regardless of who wins the Cup the Skipper will be Australian.
