Unhappy User account control W10 Pro

Windows 10 is driving me nuts! I have a word processor which came on 3 floppies when I had Windows 95. It is called 'Word Express' and is brilliant. W10 has taken exception to it, and queries it every time I open it. W10 has accepted it as the default for WD2 files even tho it doesn't accept the program. How can I exempt this program from User account control? I could turn it off, but would rather not.

    Theres several ways.
    1. http://www.techsupportalert.com/cont...-windows-7.htm

    2. Very Easy and possibly better. http://www.itknowledge24.com/ Download and install UAC Trust Shortcut Create the shortcut relating to the program, and you wont be asked for UAC. Just tried it and it works fine.
One thing positive about Windows 10 is that there is never a dull moment anymore on ye olde computer

Brilliant-- If it can be done, why the hell can't Microsoft incorporate it in the User Account control? Same goes for switching the desktop shortcuts on/off, except that the one I have only works with W7.
