On the tiles section, on almost all the computers here, there are very few of the default tiles showing, I only put tiles for programs I use.
    Thanks. I'll check that out.

Four installs went without a hitch apart from the now usual long delay at about 75%. The actual update after the restart seemed to go considerably quicker than it has on the past.

Started one of Mine this morning, set it going, came back later after an hour or so, at 77%, 30 minutes later, still at 77% -------left it alone for a few hours, it was waiting for the reboot, made the ISO first, rebooted went out to do the shopping, came back - all done.

Haven't had a chance to see "whats new" yet, tomorrow will have play.

I wonder what's happening at 77% that makes it apparently grind to a halt?

The 77% according to one post (which I posted a while back) is the 2nd boot phase. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...7-f1f402eb1b15 I suspect that's the phase its doing a LOT of integrating the current to New OS, after it reboots it finishes it off. ( only a guess)

I just looked at that presentation again and what you are referring to is much later in the process - after the machine has gone from the "initialising/preparing/downloading/installing" bit and rebooted and does the "proper" install. What we are talking about is in the "downlevel phase" before the first reboot.

Well this is going to cause a few MORE moans LOL. MANY wanna-bees complain now because they don't really know what Beta builds are and moan when things go wrong

Working backwards, the releases basically go -- release to General Public --- Insider/Slow Ring --- Insider/Fast ring --- NOW they are introducing "Skip Ahead:" Which is basically the actual versions MS are working on before releasing to The insiders.

Before choosing to skip ahead – there are a few things to keep in mind: builds from RS_PRERELEASE will get less stable as teams start checking in new code. So just like Insider Preview builds usually are after a Windows 10 release, things will likely be a little rough.
Once you select the option you cant go back 1 step to the fast ring until it has caught up with the latest public release. Unless you reinstall the OS.

Hmmm... I don't think I want to be that adventurous - although with 4 insider builds I may try it with just one. I assume this is linked to the build and not the person/ms account.
