Default Removing duplicate files on external hard drive?

Is there anything that will delete, or show me duplicate files on my external hard drive?

It has at least 3 duplicates of some things. due to backups etc..

I would like to remove duplicates to save space.

Yes there is. Do a Google search for Duplicate detectors.

WARNING!!!!! Be aware that there are many files on your PC that have the same name because they ARE exactly the same. Many of them are .dll files and they are essential for the operation of the PC.

DO NOT DELETE FILES JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE SAME NAME. If you are not sure then DO NOT delete. ASK FIRST.

I'm not worrying. I am just warning you to be careful what you delete.

    Been there. Done that.

if you have all the files "correctly" on the main drive.

what you could do is wipe and resync the external.
