    Default How do you tell what fonts a web page is using

    Hi

    READ FIRST, I know how to use firebug, dragonfly etc to view the font stack of fonts that are applied to that particular element,

    helvetica, arial, sans-serif;

    and that if helvetica is on my system it will be displayed and if not Arial will be displayed.

    However what i want to know is, is there a way to tell which font is actually being displayed without having to check my fonts folder to see whether the first listed font is installed on my system.

    Nope - viewing the source will just tell you which fonts the page designer has selected, and in which order.

    Morgenmuffel is trying to figure out which font is actually displayed, rather than which fonts the page designer has specified.

    Morgenmuffel: I haven't used it, but this firefox extension looks like it can do what you're after.
