Default Need to reset NetComm NB6Plus4Wn

I have had the wireless router for several days and had it working almost immediately when connected to my desktop PC. Thereafter, I set up the Wireless bit for a TiVo and Netbook.

I also upgraded the firmware (probably 2 days ago) and everthing seemed OK.

This evening, and I don't know what I have done. I don't even remember fiddling with any settings, but I cannot access the web with this wireless router.

I have a DSE Wireless G Router and a hardwired Speedtouch and these are both OK.

I have tried a reset to restore the factory settings but I still cannot get access via the 'Quick Setup' for the router.

I did write down these settings a few days ago:
    LAN IP Address:
Default Gateway: --> now not setup and I don't know how to get access to set it.
    Primary DNS:
    Secondary DNS:

All of the above were set when I bought the router.

Also tried pressing the reset button at the back of the router.

Also at the back of the router I have a NAS attached and that is OK.

The Netbook connects to the Network but will not connect to the Web.

    Can anyone help?
PS I had a look on the xtra (telecom) site for basic settings but I didn't find the relevant web page.

Looks like is the ip to log into the router, you cant use it as an IP for a PC. What version of windows is on it?

The gateway should be the above. The DNS servers you've got are right. Try putting in an ip between - 254 for the LAN ip address (or whatever the valid ip addresses are). Undder the network adapter (need to know what version of windows it is, before I can tell you where the option is)

You have to press and hold the reset button and count to 10, slowly, to do a factory reset.

Then make sure the PC is set to obtain IP and DNS automatically, type into the web browser and you should be able to log in to the router.

The would probably have been the address given to your router by your ISP - you don't need to use this at all for accessing the router.

Finally have the NetComm attaching to the internet.

I found the Telecom web page with the settings.

What I found out was that
VPI has to be 0 (was 8 after a default settings reset)
VCI has to be 100 (was 35 after a default settings reset).

I also didn't know this, I am using PPPoA (handy to know next time I am reading the Netcomm manual).

Interestingly I didn't type in the Default Gateway, Primary and Secondary DNS IP Addresses. It allocated then automatically.

Glad to have this resolved and thanks for everyones help.
