    Usually development machines would use IIS on a workstation machine. While you could run a server off a normal Windows OS, the server versions have tighter security.

    Personally I set any software volume control to 100% and then let the speaker volume control handle the actual volume.

    Could be worse. I had to do a repair install on a Windows XP laptop, and Setup wouldn't pick up the SATA HDD. The drivers from HP would only write to a floppy disk, so I had to fire up a VM to get...

    There is virtually no public transport system in the world that runs at a profit, and yet they all provide environmental and social benefits greater than their cost - i.e. people getting to work...

    No city has ever built its way out of congestion by building more roads. It simply doesn't work. What we need instead is strong alternatives to driving so that people use them - proven by the rail...

    I have a Chromecast in the lounge and use Plex on my phone to cast to it. All my media is sitting on a computer tucked away in the office - works well for me. :thumbs:

    I would absolutely not recommend ISP supplied routers at all, I had way too many issues with our HG659 while living with my parents. Now I have the setup wratterus described above and it's fantastic....
