Re: Baycorp and my overdue debt

If your brother is a Barrister, then talk to him urgently before you do anything. If you are in the clear, and he is any good a letter from him would stop everything in its tracks.

    Re: Recording TV Programmes

Considering doing the same until I looked at what was available on Freeview, and it is utter crap. So will have to stay with Sky until they go broke, or Freeview improves dramatically.

    Monopoly

Has anyone found a decent version of "Monopoly" to download for W10? Doesn't have to be free.

    Re: cordless or corded chainsaw?

I always ensure I hold the saw well away from me, almost at arms length. Then if anything goes wrong I have time to react. This said, a sharp chain is your best friend when using this tool.

Re: The WW2 Spitfire Fighter Plane

The success of the RAF in the 1940 Battle of Britain was due more to the Hawker Hurricane than the Supermarine Spitfire.

And keep your spare chain SHARP! Nothing stuffs a chainsaw more than a blunt chain.

    Re: E-mail addresses

I have Outlook 2016 installed, presumably as part of Office 365. I guess my mail client is actually 'Mail' as installed by W10. But my email address is <name>@outlook.com. I am getting totally...

    Re: E-mail addresses

Correct Wainui, but when I try to enter names I get a box headed "Select names: Contacts in richardwmorgan@outlook.com" but everything is blank or greyed out. Nothing in contacts or address book...

    E-mail addresses

I am using Mail/Outlook as my e-mail client in W10 and presumably another program, also called Outlook in Word 2016. My addresses are stored in the file called "People" , but whenever I try to send...

    Re: My new book...

I get the feeling they think you're serious Greg. I think it is bloody good, though it could well be mistaken for Labour Party policy.

    Re: car tyre recommendations ?

Correct Plod. A tyre is an "ablative shield" (look it up). If it is not wearing away then it is not working to give you the grip needed to stay on the road. Tyre manufacturers could make a tyre which...

    Re: car tyre recommendations ?

Mine is! I have a 1990 BMW 535i and I can't bear to part with it, cruises well, everything still works, not a speck of rust. It is still a good car, and only experts know it is 27 years old. Glad you...

    Re: car tyre recommendations ?

Go and talk to your local Bridgestone shop, and as I said earlier ask for a deal on four tyres, trading your worn two. They will bend over backwards to help, and you will get a product you can have...

    Re: car tyre recommendations ?

Unless you buy four tyres, please make sure they are fitted to the rear wheels, as your own research confirms. Who does the fitting and balancing? Do they charge you separately?

Go to Tony's then. They are owned by Bridgestone actually. But PLEASE buy a brand you have heard of and know has a reputation for quality. The tyre business has become one where 'cheap really means...

    Re: car tyre recommendations ?

That is a good article you have quoted, and has the answer to all your concerns. Believe me, the better tyres should be on the rear wheels, for all the reasons outlined by that article. In saying...

    Re: car tyre recommendations ?

No. All production of tyres in NZ has now ceased, due mainly to economies of scale and the cost of replacement machinery. I recommend though that you visit your local Bridgestone (who now own...
