    Re: New Camera

Nice, I've got a 70D and really just dabble....would like to get a bit better but don't seem to be able to find the time.

I would love to get a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L IS II lens, but at $1900 USD...

Haha, I've found car manuals from Russian sites before. Got to watch out for that Russian malware. :p

Edit - but Wainui's links look good as gold.

There is a bit of a worldwide NAND shortage currently. Pushing the prices of SSDs and RAM way up. :(

    Re: SSD recommendations

For M.2 NVMe either a Samsung 960 Evo or Intel 600p if you can find one. Does make a big difference. :2cents:

    Re: Import emails

I think you would need to convert the .pst into a .mbox file to be able to do this? Not sure if that's even possible sorry.

    Re: Alternative for reading PDF's

Alternative to what? Adobe Reader is free and works good as gold. Edge will open .pdf files. Foxit is another option. I'm personally perfectly happy with Adobe Reader.

Good PC repair shop in Auckland

After a little help here - got someone who has moved up to Auckland, is having some PC issues (RAID issues in particular). Wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a good PC tech, or...
  16. Re: Replacement Graphics in Water Cooled machine

You definitely won't be able to use the same waterblock. You'd need to get one specifically for the 1080Ti, and make sure that it will fit with all the tubing/fittings etc that you currently have.

  17. Re: Replacement Graphics in Water Cooled machine

*that explanation is extremely basic I should say.
  18. Re: Replacement Graphics in Water Cooled machine

Fair point. Basically - there should be a drain port on your build, you can power the pump up and pump all the liquid out of the system.

Then you'd need to remove the tubing from the cards -...

    Re: Router recommendation

I've not had a chance as we don't have any cable around here, but those Ubiquiti routers definitely have VLAN tagging and ought to work mint. I'd go for the ER-Lite for you - 1m pps with 64 byte...

    Re: Router recommendation

The ER-Lite is slightly more powerful, but for what you're doing you won't notice, plus the ER-X has the PoE port, so you don't need an external power supply for the Wireless AP

    Ubiquiti EdgeRouterX 5 port

    Ubiquiti UAP-AC-LR
