My parents bought me a second hand minidisc player off my mate as a combined Christmas / Birthday present, so I'm not expecting anything else at all...

i dont like shuttles dont much - to small for me , and its a hell of task upgrading them

For me, I tend to move my computer around a lot; LAN parties, WellyLUG etc. I know the Upgrading factor is a hassle, but less of a hassle than a full sized PC :D

i like my huge case , yet i dont take my computer around that much so i guess for someone who go's to lans a smaller one would be better

Yes, we all love those full tower cases, don't we. They're so superbly easy to move around...

A tower case is no more trouble to carry around then a shuttle.

Its not like they weigh 60kg....more like 3 or 4 kg max,and even if they did thats still not to heavy to carry with much bother.

Unless your a big girls blouse.

Besides,If you wanted mobility might as well just buy a game capable laptop.

I'd appreciate it if we didn't attack those among us who have gender confusion issues.

It's not about the weight/mass, its the size factor, add that to a Trinitron screen and you have some bulk.

my 'early x-mas present ' courtesy of the tax man allowing me to pay terminal/provision/GST tax all in one month so that I knew I was moderately solvent at least once a year:

A new Samsung 193p LCD (yum!)
A Logitech DiNovo keyboard and mouse (even better than the old cordless)... just call me a 'style queen' :-)

Hopefully on christmas day my Master will let me serve dinner, but I think I might end up being the turkey.

Stuff a game capable laptop - Get an XBox and install GentooX on it - 1/10th the price and still just as good for most things!!

Plus you can play XBox, Linux & Most windows games too!!!

Most things?....name one thing an Xbox can do as well as a high end laptop.....

Then i'll list 490 million things an xbox can't do,and then proceed to rubbish the limited tasks it can handle.

Personally i would rather spend a bit more cashola and have something worth owning.

Whatever I buy myself for Xmas, it WON'T be a computer, or anything that goes with a computer.

IIRC it uses a Celeron 733mhz, 64mb RAM, 64MB Nvidia (?) Graphics, 8/10GB hard drive, Samsung/Thomson/Philips DVD Drive
