Hi ya all.
Installed a game. While info was being extracted from the DAT file, with the CRC check ok next to it, I noticed the first 10 or so files had 0% next to them. Now the sound doesnt work although the game goes ok. It says No Audio Hardware. The first time I ran the game, it didnt detect hardware like a lot do.

Question: Can I open that DAT file in any way to manually extract the info that failed.

Cheers.

Unlikely most Dat files are hard to understand.

Open up in Wordpad. Should be enough although the formatting & encoding can be pretty impossible to decypher, most of our work data is in DAT's created via likes of JADE & JS. Worth a shot..

Probably not worth trying. :D It's almost certainly compressed. Unless you know what compression method, and any keys used, it is likely to be a major "opportunity".
