View Full Version : Incorrect Free Space of Hard Drive

Hi all...

This problem occurs to me, after I added a second hard drive. My first is Quantum Fireball 3.2Gb, the second one Seagate Medalist 4.3Gb... quantum being the master, and seagate becomes the slave, on primary IDE...

Then sometimes I will get this message when running ScanDisk:
'This drive's boot area contains important information that is damaged or invalid. This can cause Windows to report the drive's free space incorrectly or slowly. ScanDisk repairs the boot area by recording the correct values in this area.'

Well, so far no real harm done. It's just the free space information, no data being lost or corrupted. But why is it happening ?
