What are these Internet Directory accounts for?

In the Internet Accounts dialogue box in Outlook Express under the Directory Services tab I have a number of default accounts, eg Bigfoot Internet Directory Service, InfoSpace Business DS, VeriSign Internet DS, Yahoo! People Search, and some others.

What are these for? Can I delete them all?

Yes delete them. They are put there by default.

they are what they are... a directory service, think of it as like a big list of people. They (ISP/ASP's) use LDAP standards to allow any system that can use LDAP to lookup a person or entry in the directory. But yes for the most part they are a waste of space, get rid of them.

I did wonder whether that was the case but just wanted it confirmed.
