This must have been absolutely horrible for this poor woman, and coming on the back of some previous miscarriages. At least the baby is healthy.

Here (http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/how-could-this-happen-hospital-blunder-turns-a-familys-joy-into-heartbreak-20100820-138xw.html?autostart=1)

Unfortunately this happened in OZ. In her homeland, the anaethetist would probably have been permanently anaethetised by now.

That is terrible. The saddest thing is they had procedures in place to prevent such a thing which evidently were simply ignored.

There will be some serious consequences for the hospital and anethetist involved I suspect, but sounds like nothing can undo the harm... Short of a miracle.

As it would appear the same sort of thing can happen in New Zealand apparently. In this case it caused death.

Those poor people.........

we dont always realise how our own life is ok, (normal maybe?) it may not be easy but at least we are able to get on with life, go to work, school or study, pay bills, enjoy our families......... those poor people will never know what a normal life is like again.
