Opened google this morning, as we all know they change the title every day -- but  - This is to far (http://www.imagef1.net.nz/files/Google1274478560.jpg) - a working game of Pacman as the title - With sound effects (takes a few moments to load)

I remember when Pacman first came out, and it was all the rage in pubs. Still good, and top marks to Google. :)

I reckon these are the best things of all:

1) That the game functions solely on javascript (not a single use of Flash technology, as far as I can tell)
2) That the game functions well on IE6 (what a surprise!)
3) That you can have a two-player game :D

And you can use your mouse (not as effectively as arrow keys)

And you can turn off the sound

(Love the "Insert Coin" button!)

It's great what you can accomplish without Flash :D

Now all I have to do is achieve 3,333,360 points to equal the high score.

Flash is dead
Were you referring to the tussle between Apple and Adobe?

Chilling_Silence

Sure, lets call it a "tussle" between Apple and Adobe ... ;)

Flash is dead
I won't be sorry about that as all problems I have had with Firefox within Linux has been because of Flash.

I'm referring to adobe adopting HTML5 extensions for dreamweaver, the fact that a lot of major sites that were flash only have or are about to go HTML5.

Can someone tell me why the Pacman game lags in Firefox 3.6.3 but works perfectly in IE8?

Perhaps it's all the addons you have running?

Perhaps FF thinks the pacman game is an advert? Or at least keeps checking to ensure it's not.

They've done it to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pacman.

Weird. Maybe I just need to reboot my system or something.

The game has gone now though... :(
